Offaly, AB Career Education was developed to deliver and empower individuals, education settings and businesses with key information to support students at primary and post primary levels to maximise their potential for life and their future success in careers. Identifying and bolstering unique strengths and talents of both individuals and groups is at the heart of this business.
About Alison
I’m Alison Bennett, founder of AB Career Education. I am passionate about supporting school aged students to realise their individual potential. I am a qualified Guidance Counsellor (Maynooth University) and Secondary School Teacher (UCC).
I have experience of working in both private and public schools, day and boarding, across the country. I have held the position of Assistant Principal as well as numerous pastoral roles and have always had a keen interest in coaching extracurricular activities.
I believe strongly in a holistic approach to education. School goers today are tech savvy, aware of the world around them and have navigated a world pandemic during their education. They are adaptable and resilient. The future is bright. It is my privilege to work with this group.

I am a fully qualified member of the IGC and the Irish Teaching Council.
I am an associate member of the Psychological Association of Ireland.
In line with Teaching Council requirements, I am fully Garda Vetted.

Frequently Asked Questions
Each service and session is tailored to the clients needs. Depending on which service you wish to access there is a general format but no two sessions are identical. This is a bespoke service.
Depending on your circumstance, I offer both. In-person sessions are my preferred option. These are available in Co. Offaly. Virtual options work well for individuals, schools or businesses located outside of the broader midland region.
I work with school-aged students, schools, parents, and businesses interested in educational or career development programmes.
I offer sports leadership training to help student-athletes and teams build confidence, communication, and leadership skills through sport.
I offer one-to-one career guidance, school talks, workshops, TY programme design, and sports leadership development — all tailored to the individual or organisation.
I combine professional qualifications (Guidance Counsellor + Secondary Teacher) with real-life experience across public and private education. I take a holistic, student-first approach, helping young people thrive — not just tick boxes.
